Since 1997 I have worked around the world, living and teaching in countries like France, Italy and the Czech Republic.

 

I am a native English speaker bringing a unique, fun and effective approach to learning English, thanks to the feedback and enthusiastic involvement of thousands of students throughout the years, all of them from many different cultures and backgrounds, and from all stages of life - from the nursery, through school and professional career paths, all the way to retirement age.

 

My teaching method is rooted in the principles of UDL (Universal Design for Learning), neuroscience, art, creativity and community. I believe that a language is best learned when it is fully integrated with the world around us, and fully infused with life: with humor, feeling, kindness, compassion... and authentic self-expression.

I create curricula based the needs of each individual student - even when working with groups. This means each lesson always takes place within a diverse ecosystem of content, encompassing many ways to learn, process and retain information: through listening, reading, watching, writing, speaking, and more. 

 

I am an advocate of holistic intelligence, both artificial and human, and fully support technology in the classroom and beyond. My lesson plans include a strong emphasis on media literacy, critical thinking, and social ethics. 

 

All lessons are conducted virtually (online). I offer specialized courses in English for Italians, English for CEOs & Public Figures, and English for Introverts (especially popular with students working in IT, engineering, math and science).
